Chuck Foreman’s New Wrap Grabs Much Deserved Attention
The CORR NOS Energy Drink Truck hit Chula Vista this weekend with a brand new wrap that had everyone’s attention the whole weekend. Maybe it was because the shiny clean wrap was out of place or maybe it was because Chuck Foreman ran circles around the competition in both practices, securing the second best lap time of the competition. It just so happened CORR was having their photoshoot this weekend for their yearly calendar so of course the clean and fast NOS Energy Drink Truck was picked to take part in the shoot. Fans crowded around the whole scene to get a glimpse of all the models posing around the various trucks. When it was finally time to race the tech police penalized the NOS Team for the truck being too low to the ground. This sent Foreman to the back of the pack, but he was up to task as usual. However, his truck was not. As the NOS Energy Drink truck filled back into line the engine labored and died. After trying to restart it, the engine would not crank over, and it was determined that a broken crankshaft was at fault. Seeing the trouble Foreman was having, TRD manager Less Unger decided to volunteer his help. This was huge as Less saw the potential of the NOS Team. Unger had his whole crew help out the NOS team and by Sunday morning, had a new engine in the car, but it was all in vain as the truck has missed tech inspection and CORR would not let Team NOS compete. There was a silver lining to all of this as a writer from Off Road Magazine recognized the NOS truck from ads that it had been in and wanted to follow the team around and report on their struggles and triumphs throughout the season. She felt the team was headed for a massive turnaround and wanted to report on it. She offered to do 3 full write ups in the magazine and post reports every weekend about the team on the Off Road Magazine website.
